adi kailash

According to legend, there are only eight mountains in India that bear the OM symbol. Only one of these eight has been discovered, and it is known as Om Parvat or Adi Kailash. Adi Kailash, a magical mountain, stands at an elevation of 6191 metres in the Dharchula district. It is well-known for its strong religious and adventure connections, and it is also thought to have a miraculous nature. One feature that distinguishes this mountain from other Himalayan ranges is its OM shape, which is formed by snow deposition on the black mountain. In addition, the mountains resemble the pious Mount Kailash. Perhaps this is why it is known as Adi Kailash. Trekkers must walk the entire distance to the base of the Om Parvat on foot, which will take approximately 12 days. The pious Om Parvat is pristine or relatively undisturbed by human activity; however, mountaineers have made numerous attempts to reach its summit. The trek is typically undertaken from the picturesque Dharchula during the monsoon season, from June to October.

Begin your spiritual journey by fleeing the chaos of everyday life to India's Chota Kailash and resonating in the peaceful vibes of Uttarakhand. Adi Kailash, located in Uttarakhand's Pithoragarh district, is one of the Hindu sacred sites and the oldest resting place of the divine Lord Shiva. Another fact that adds to the place's religious significance is that Ravana, the great king of Lanka and a great devotee of Lord Shiva, visited Adi Kailash. It is an important part of the Kailash trilogy, which includes Kailash Mansarovar, Adi Kailash, and Kinnaur Kailash, and is located at an elevation of 6191 metres. These are the abodes of Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvati, Lord Ganapati, and Kartik Swami, according to Hindu mythology. Adi Kailash is located near Brahma Parvat and Sin La, while the spiritually blessed Om Parvat is located near Nabidang. In terms of Om Parvat, it is the only one of the eight 'OM' emergences discovered in the Himalayas to date. Whereas a short detour from Adi Kailash can be ideal for viewing the magnificent Om Parvat, which is carved on the Indo-Nepal border, with the silhouette of 'OM' facing India and the back in Nepal.

You can experience the scenic beauty of Bhimtal while visiting Pithoragarh on this Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra. On your way, you may pass through Kumaon hamlets such as Lakhanpur and Lamari, which are ideal for learning about the region's culture and traditions.
